Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson was (and still is, since there's no news of the band having split-up) one of the "peas" in the the group "Black-eyed Peas." Having achieved superstardom as a pea, Fergie goes solo in this, her debut album, "The Dutchess" Produced mostly by fellow pea will.i.am, the album has a vast mix of styles and collaborations, with everything from hip-hop to soul, reggae, R&B, and of course dance-pop. All things considered, "The Dutchess" is a tremendous and unpredictable effort that showcases Fergie's cool, distinctive and whacky personality to winning effect and tracks like "Fergalicious," "Mary Jane Shoes".Just a note of caution that, like some of her other Peas tracks ("My Humps" being one such example) this album too demands that you just enjoy the music without trying to decipher the meaning of the lyrics!!
